Rwanda Election: What Matters Now

I don’t care much about the Rwandan president getting a 3rd or 5th term. Neither do I care about how long the Burundian president wish to stay on power.

I care much more about the fact that both presidents don’t give a shit about what Washington or Paris got to say in their internal affairs.

That’s the most important.

For the African youth that represents a good example, which translates into “we don’t need the validation of any external power to do what ever we want to do”.

Would those decisions create some trouble. Yes. But the leap in consciousnesses and confidence transfused into the African youth is much more valuable for me, specially for the long term.

That’d contribute to the renewal of self confidence that Africa desperately needs to put the past behind.

We call that Africa renaissance.

(troubles would go away, but the confidence would stay).
